God is Good.

The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
   to the one who seeks him;
 it is good to wait quietly
   for the salvation of the LORD.

Sometimes it takes the innocence and faith of a small child to show you what you really need to be doing.  To show you what you need to be focusing on.  When the storms of life take you on an unexpected turn and you try to run for cover, when what you really need to do is learn how to dance in the rain.  Just take it from this dude....yes, the dude with the orange face.

This little guy has such an innocence (most of the time) and carefree joy that is contagious.  He loves to pray at dinner.  It's usually something along the lines of...."Thank you God for the cars and that Baylor didn't hit me and for the cookies in the cookie jar, amen."  We smile and tell him what a good job he did.  Last week, this crazy joyful child on one of his random prayer rants, stopped me in my tracks.  He prayed his usual dinnertime prayer, thanking God for ants and popcorn and cheese, but at the end of his prayer he added a significant phrase.

God you are so good.

Whoa.

Did that just come out of the mouth of this child?  He's right.  It was like I had been smacked upside the head with a two by four.  He wouldn't be worrying or panicking about what the storm of life is pouring on us right now, he would be dancing in the rain....and he was right.

God is so good.

It took the faith of a small child and those simple words to really put things in perspective.

God is so good.
