Diving boards, tablets and open doors

This little man has made big strides this summer as far as water goes.  He went to clinging on to our necks for dear life to going off the diving board and swimming across the pool.  What a stud muffin.  The only swimming lessons he's had are from my wonderful mama and myself.  Way to go Brody man!
We were lucky enough to get invited over to use a friend's pool and Baylor got to practice  his diving.  He started on his knees first and finally got the hang of it towards the end.  He is also swimming the length of the pool crawl stroke, diving off the high dive and becoming quite the little fish.
 Taking the plunge!
We've been researching tablets and decided to go with an Asus and we love it.  Much cheaper than an ipad with the same fun stuff.  I have only gotten to touch it for about five minutes thanks to Angry Birds.
Enjoying one of the nicer days before we got hit with a heat wave this week.  I locked them out.  Just kidding.  I thought about locking them out.
...and now for some exciting news!  Guess where this sign is going?  Awe, yea. That's right. On my classroom door! MY ART CLASSROOM door!  I am so excited I can hardly contain myself.  It just goes to show that God knows exactly where he wants you.  I get to teach art from Kindergartners to 8th graders and co-teach one high school class at Lisbon.  It is really my dream job because it's close to home and it's where my children go to school.  I will most definitely miss my students at the alternative school, but I am really looking forward to continuing a successful art program at Lisbon.

Now we can breathe a little easier and work on finding Lonnie the right job.  Please continue to keep him in your prayers.  He is such an amazingly talented man and I really want him to be happy in his occupation.
